Affinius Capital Appoints Emily Margolis to Its Global Investors Group

Former AEW Capital Management Executive to Serve as Managing Director

SAN ANTONIO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Industry veteran Emily Margolis has been named Managing Director for the Global Investors Group at Affinius Capital, where she will focus on growing and developing relationships with investors throughout North America.

“Emily is a welcome addition to further our new investment mandates where capital formation is a critical element,” said Scott Stuckman, Senior Managing Director of Affinius Capital’s Global Investors Group. “We believe her extensive relationships and relevant experience will contribute to the success of our programs, so we can continue delivering for our clients as we have for 40 years.”

Based in her native city of Boston, Margolis has over 20 years of real estate experience at some of the leading global real estate investment firms. Most recently, she was responsible for marketing AEW’s strategies by developing and maintaining client and investment consultant relationships throughout North America. Prior to that, she held capital raising and investor relations responsibilities for Colony Realty Partners’ closed end, value-added fund series, and she wrote and reported on market research for both Lincoln Property Company and Cushman & Wakefield.

“Affinius Capital is dedicated to being a committed partner, advisor, and steward of capital which enables like-minded partners to invest alongside the firm in a diverse mix of compelling strategies,” said Margolis. “The firm has been investing in some of the most innovative sectors in real estate such as Data Centers and Studios, while also staying true to their knitting in industrial, housing, and credit.”

Margolis adds, “With service, alignment, and transparency at its core, I was drawn to join the Affinius team to nurture existing and build new relationships that support the growing reach of the firm. I am also delighted to team up again with my long-time friend and former colleague, Suzanne Martinez.”

Margolis is active in the institutional real estate community, including serving as a Founding Board Member of the Boston Chapter of WiRE Women in Real Estate. An avid runner and marathoner, she organizes frequent networking workouts at industry conferences such as the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).
