WALTHAM, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#genderequityTrinity Life Sciences, a leader in global life science commercialization solutions, is sharing findings from its latest TGaS study entitled “Commercial Executive Pipeline Development for Women in Life Sciences.” The study finds that life science executives overwhelmingly agree that increased gender representation positively impacts organizations; however, life science companies fall below benchmark as compared to gender equity best practices in other industries. Only 44 percent of life science respondents agree that their companies’ boards/executive teams mirror the gender diversity of their employees.

“Commercial leaders can integrate gender representation initiatives with talent identification and succession planning strategies,” said Kristin Scott, Executive Director, Learning & Development, TGaS Advisors, a division of Trinity Life Sciences. “Early identification of high potential across commercial functions (and broader) can build a strong talent pipeline or bench. Having a formal succession planning process, requiring a diverse succession planning slate, and auditing succession planning processes for bias allows for early targeting of strong leaders.”
